<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Depuis mars 2012, une recommandation de l'Union des syndicats de l'industrie routière française (Usirf) plaide en faveur de la généralisation des enrobés tièdes. Ces dernières années, le développement de techniques et procédés permettant d'abaisser la température de fabrication et d'application des matériaux de revêtement routier a permis de réduire de façon considérable les émissions de fumées de bitume. Les questions de santé et de sécurité des travailleurs sont aujourd'hui au coeur des politiques d'innovation des entreprises. L'enjeu est majeur: améliorer les conditions de travail sur les chantiers où les opérateurs sont principalement exposés au risque de brûlures, au contact cutané avec le bitume et à l'inhalation de fumées irritantes. Mais aussi répondre à certaines contraintes spécifiques: présence de travaux d'application manuelle, travail à l'air libre, intervention en milieu confiné, etc. Au niveau national, la profession, soutenue par les principaux acteurs en santé et sécurité au travail, se mobilise. </abstract>
