"Even if we deny our education, we carry it with us, it goes with us," she says when asked about her interest in symbols and rituals. And the fact is that the photographer, now a practicing agnostic, was formed in a Catholic and Mexican context of bourgeois origin, where symbol and ritual were part of the language. Moving between the documentary and the poetic, her unique way of looking combines life and dreams. Nature and culture, ancestral traditions, the ritual incorporated into everyday life and the symbolism of any object, occupy a central place in his work
