      <subfield code="a">Richard Learoyd (Nelson, 1965) is one of today's most renowned contemporary photographers and this retrospective is a journey through his production of more than a decade. Richard Learoyd's work is rooted in the past, in the origin of photography, as he obtains his images using a self-made camera obscura in which he normally does not use a negative. His portraits, being made with this process, result in a life-size photograph. This imposes the direct presence of the sitter and allows us to approach him with an unusual closeness</subfield>
