<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El sector asegurador, en el marco de los acuerdos comerciales, incentiva de manera indirecta la estructuración de dichos tratados para Colombia ya que el sector es protegido por naturaleza y existe bastante sensibilidad en torno a la aplicación de la cláusula de Nación más favorecida. Es importante resaltar que la industria aseguradora colombiana está abierta a la competencia internacional, máxime si se tiene en cuenta que los analistas predicen un aumento cercano al 20% durante el 2011. De otra parte, en la Ley 1328 de 2009, que está pendiente de reglamentación, se estableció que en el 2013 se dará una apertura comercial de este sector al permitir, desde esta fecha, la compra de seguros en el exterior</abstract>
