<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En la crítica situación por la que atraviesa la economía española, atenazada por la falta de crédito y el letargo de la demanda interna, el incremento de su participación en la oferta mundial de bienes se configura como un elemento indispensable de cara a reactivar la producción, algo para lo que necesita reforzar sus bases competitivas. Afrontar este desafío requiere la puesta en marcha de un ambicioso programa de actuaciones públicas que promueva, por un lado, el avance de la productividad y, por otro, el establecimiento de las empresas españolas en aquellos mercados que brindan mejores oportunidades de negocio en los años venideros. Ubicado en este segundo escenario, el presente trabajo examina los componentes espacial y sectorial de las ventas exteriores de España, con el ánimo de apuntar algunas líneas de orientación para una estrategia de apoyo a la exportación</abstract>
