<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El proyecto y construcción de puentes en España durante las dos últimas décadas ha derivado en un reconocimiento internacional de la industria española de la construcción. La primera mitad del siglo XX fue especialmente brillante en la configuración de tipos estructurales bellos y económicos. La evolución posterior permitió optimizar lo clásico (puentes de vigas, puentes losa, puentes empujados, de hormigón y acero, puentes arco, atirantados) y aventurar y abrir al tiempo mundos formales y constructivos diferentes.</abstract>
