<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En este artículo se presenta un resumen de las últimas investigaciones sobre los mercados de trabajo de las ligas deportivas profesionales en distintas partes del mundo. Exponemos las principales aportaciones teóricas realizadas sobre los mercados de trabajo del deporte y las principales conclusiones respecto a los deportes de equipo norteamericanos y europeos en cuatro áreas fundamentales: las instituciones del mercado de trabajo, la explotación monopsónica, la eficiencia del mercado de trabajo y la discriminación salarial. </abstract>
