Title: Taking the heat : making cities resilient to climate change / Amanda Hindlian...[et al.]
Publication: Jersey City [etc.] : Golman Sachs, Global Market Institute, 2019Notes: Sumario: Many urban areas are already focusing on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. They are engaging in activities like planting more green spaces, utilizing alternative sources of energy and using data to more eficiently operate roads and railways what are often called mitigation approaches. While some work has been done to make cities more resilient to climate change, far more efforts are needed for cities to withstand the potential effects of a warming world what are typically referred to as adaptation measures. To that end, there is a wide range of potential urban adaptation investments, some of which may be highly speciic to the on-the-ground needs of a particular area. These include coastal protections, climate-resilient construction, more robust infrastructure, upgraded transport systems and more. In fact, urban adaptation could drive one of the largest global infrastructure build-outs in historyMateria / lugar / evento: Cambio climático Ciudades sostenibles Resiliencia Control de emisiones Inversiones anticontaminación Inversiones socialmente responsables Infraestructuras Protección del medio ambiente Otros autores: Hindlian, Amanda
