<note>El objeto de este artículo es realizar un análisis teórico de la competitividad exterior y de las medidas que pueden preservarla y fomentarla en el caso de la economía española.Mantener niveles adecuados de competitividad exterior es una condición necesaria para salvaguardar la estabilidad macroeconómica y potenciar el crecimiento económico. Una competitividad exterior equilibrada en el transcurso del tiempo acentúa el impacto expansivo de las reformas estructurales sobre el crecimiento tendencial de la economía, y la mayoría de estas reformas, a su vez, ayudan a preservar la competitividad y la estabilidad macroeconómica.</note>
