Sumario: As COVID-19 sweeps through the United States, state governments are responding by rolling out new or modified fiscal-relief programs amid substantial funding from federal aid packages. Child-nutrition programs, for instance, have transitioned operations to pickup and delivery models, and eligibility for unemployment-insurance (UI) benefits has been expanded via the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, offering relief for laid-off or furloughed workers.
