<dc:description xml:lang="es">Sumario: China is facing an increasingly severe ageing problem. According to statistics from the United Nations Population Division, the number of over-65s in China reached 176m in 2019. The number nearly doubled from 2000, accounting for 12.6% of the total population. It is estimated that by 2030, the proportion of China's population aged 60 and over will be 24.8%, and the proportion over 65 will be 16.9%. Healthcare and pensions for the elderly are issues that will become more prominent than ever.</dc:description>
