This shift brings both opportunity and responsibility: the opportunity to improve retirement outcomes at scale, and the responsibility to do so with care, innovation, and Boldness. TAI has been monitoring this evolution since 2018 through global studies on DC best practices. In collaboration with LifeSight and Aware Super, the 2025 study includes interviews, surveys, and research with leading DC organizations. The report highlights investment beliefs, governance, retirement income strategies, technology adoption, and systemic risks. The main challenge remains ensuring adequate retirement income. Concerns also arise about whether members' savings are being fully optimized during the accumulation phase. Private markets offer potential, but cost, governance, and operational barriers persist. Service delivery issues, such as delays in payments and claims, are also undermining member trust. Key messages include: focusing on member outcomes, integrating accumulation and decumulation phases, balancing scale with personalization, adopting a total portfolio approach, and addressing both financial and systemic risks. The study aims to drive progress toward a stronger and more inclusive DC system for all memberThis includes: Study snapshot. 9 key takeaways and data highlights -- Beliefs shaping DC strategy -- How the peers govern and resource -- How the DC peers invest -- Income in retirement -the problem that won't go away -- Technology: a big spend that will get bigger -- Systemic risk: current focus is climate, but there is so much more!Materia / lugar / evento: JubilaciónPlanes de pensiones de empleoCriterios ESGTecnologíaGerencia de riesgosCambio climáticoSostenibilidadOtros autores: Willis Towers Watson.
