<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El artículo analiza el papel del hidrógeno como vector energético en la transición hacia fuentes renovables. Explica la necesidad de almacenar energía para estabilizar la red eléctrica y las limitaciones de las tecnologías actuales, como el bombeo hidráulico. Destaca el potencial del hidrógeno, pero también los retos: altos costes, infraestructuras complejas y dificultades de almacenamiento. España se perfila como un país estratégico para su producción y exportación, aunque persisten incertidumbres sobre la viabilidad económica y tecnológica a corto plazo. El autor concluye que, aunque el hidrógeno tiene futuro, requiere inversiones sostenidas y avances significativos antes de ser competitivo.</abstract>
