It assesses solvency, liquidity, profitability and investment behaviour, including private credit and alternative assets, as well as exposure to sovereigns and the banking sector. It reviews regulatory developments (the Solvency II review, DORA, IRRD, ESG guidelines) and the results of surveys of supervisors. It includes an analysis of credible resolution funding under the IRRD and of the impact of stress test disclosures on insurers' stock market performance. It concludes that the sector remains resilient, with variations across business lines, and recommends vigilance regarding shocks to risk premiums and structural risks
