<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En este trabajo, el autor comenta los principales cambios en el funcionamiento del sistema bancario como consecuencia del nuevo entorno. A este respecto, el autor se refiere a varios aspectos que, a su juicio, van a tener importancia en la estrategia de actuación de la banca española en los próximos años: los cambios en la estructura de las cuentas de resultados, la mejora de la productividad y la eficiencia, la mayor atención a los recursos propios, una mayor especialización, la mejora en la calidad y en el servicio al cliente y, por último, una mayor apertura a los mercados internacionales</abstract>
