<abstract displayLabel="Summary">A new method for quantitative evaluation for high resolution computed tomography of the lungs was developped by assessment of the distribution of radiological densities within the lung slices. To enable effective reduction of data and improve the sensitivity of detection of abnormalities. The method was applied to seven patients with early asbestosis profusion, 15 patients with advanced stage of asbestosis, and 13 normal controls</abstract>
