Notes: Sumario: There are two ways in which noise-induced injury may be compensated in Great Britain. Firstly, under the National Insurance Scheme, individuals who satisfy certain criteria may qualify for a disability pension. Secondly, any injured employee, provided he can prove cause, effect and negligence on the part of his employer, may obtain lump sum compensation at Common Law. Some of the technical implications of cause, effect and negligence applied to noise and occupational hearing loss are discussed together with their implications to employers, taking examples from recent High Court judgementsRelated records: En: The Annals of occupational hygiene. - Oxford [etc.]. - nº 2, 1980 ; p. 205-215Materia / lugar / evento: Higiene industrial Contaminantes físicos Ruido Enfermedades profesionales Hipoacusia Indemnizaciones Legislación Gran Bretaña Otros autores: Grime, R.P.
