Sumario: The objective of the present study was to develop a simple, head-only exposure system that permitted unfettered breathing unstable pollutant, i.e., artificial acid fog, to volunteers at rest and during exercise. After finding several commercially available supplied-air hoods unsatisfactory, the authors constructed a lightweight, rigid hood, a "head dome", and examined its suitability as a head-only exposure system for human studies
