Title: Cancer mortality in chrysotile mining and milling : exposure-response / Douglas LiddellAuthor: Liddell, Douglas
Notes: Paper read at the Workshop on Health Risks Associated with Chrysotile Asbestos, held in Jersey, Channel Islands, 14-17 November 1993Sumario: It is apparent that the findings in relation to lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancer and mesothelioma are strongly supportive of those from the Quebec cohort. As for laryngeal cancer, the interpretation of the associations with asbestos exposure is difficult, especially in a region where there is particularly heavy alcohol consumption, as at Balangero. But whatever the interpretation, the risk of laryngeal cancer as a result of chrysotile exposure of less than 100 x years must be considered minimalRelated records: En: The Annals of occupational hygiene. - Oxford [etc.]. - nº 4, August 1994 ; p. 519-523Materia / lugar / evento: Higiene industrial Contaminantes biológicos Serpentina fibrosa Amianto Fibra mineral Enfermedades profesionales Enfermedades pulmonares Minería Mortalidad Cáncer Mesotelioma Epidemiología Canadá Secondary titles: Título: The Annals of occupational hygiene
