<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Los principales culpables en la formación del ozono, a los que se les ha llamado "precursores de ozono", son los óxidos de nitrógeno emitidos por los vehículos y plantas de energía y compuestos orgánicos volátiles que nacen de numerosas actividades, como pintar casas, cargar combustible en los vehículos, etc. Aunque es extremadamente difícil aislar, y menos precisar o predecir, los efectos perjudiciales del ozono para la salud, los estudios que se han hecho en los últimos años sobre este contaminante lo señalan más y más como una fuente posible de diversas enfermedades</abstract>
