<subfield code="a">On the last 25 years insurance management studies have kept pace with actual developments in the European and worlwide insurance industry and have developed in line with the real situation. This has given rise to a degree of pluralism which has benefitted the pursuit of knowledge. When we come to the 50th anniversary of the Geneva Association we will know whether these two theoretical approaches are in any way compatible</subfield>
