<abstract>Munich Re ha publicado el primer balance completo de las catástrofes naturales del año 2003: los al menos 41.000 muertos del terremoto de Bam, en el sureste de Irán, el 26 de dicembre, han lastrado finalmente el balance de catástrofes de 2003. En total, se produjeron en el mundo más de 70.000 muertos a consecuencia de este tipo de sucesos, siete veces más que el año anterior. Las pérdidas económicas fueron de 60.000 millones de dólares, 15.000 de ellos asegurados</abstract>
