<abstract>El artículo analiza el reto al que se enfrentan las instituciones de inversión colectiva (fondos y sociedades de inversión), así como sus sociedades gestoras y sus depositarios, como consecuencia de la entrada en vigor, en febrero de 2004, de la nueva Ley 35-2003, de 4 de noviembre, de Instituciones de Inversión Colectiva, que traspone al ordenamiento jurídico español las directivas comunitarias publicadas en 2002</abstract>
