<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La legislación española de seguros privados, que inició sus pasos en 1908, sigue un esquema normativo de control de solvencia y protección del asegurado. La Ley de Ordenación y Supervisión de los Seguros Privados aumentó la seguridad jurídica del tomador, ofreciendo garantías que otorgaban mayor información y transparencia. Esta Ley contempla que en los ramos de Enfermedad, Defensa Jurídica, Asistencia y Decesos, en los que la entidad aseguradora se propone garantizar la prestación de una asistencia, el programa de actividades deberá contener indicaciones y justificaciones relativas a la capacidad para prestar los servicios a los que se comprometa en los contratos. </abstract>
