Over the past decade, the US mortality protection gap, or the extent to wich families are insufficiently covered in the event of the death of the primary breadwinner, has reached staggering dimensions, and some of the factors that affect the increase have been aggravated. The vast size of the gap is a growing worry since many households are driven into poverty and forced to rely on public funds for support after the death of their primary breadwinner. The decline in sales of mortality protection products presents both a challenge and an opportunity for the life industry. Life insurers need to be proactive and do more to assist consumers in determining how to fit life insurance into their lives and budgestsMateria / lugar / evento: Mercado de seguros Seguro de vida Productos de seguros Seguro de vida para caso de muerte Estados Unidos Otros autores: Tamm, Külli
