<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Desde el año 2006, en España el Real Decreto 635/2006 regula la seguridad en túneles fijando las instalaciones mínimas que se exigirán en los túneles de la Red de Carreteras del Estado. Dentro de la estructura administrativa que se establece, se encuentra la figura del Responsable de Seguridad que es el encargado, entre otras funciones, de coordinar todas las medidas preventivas y de salvaguardia relacionadas con un túnel.</abstract>
