<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Los pavimentos de hormigón presentan algunas cualidades (baja conservación y alta durabilidad, superficie estable y resistente, luminosidad, mitigación del efecto isla de calor, posibilidades estéticas, etc.) que hacen muy interesante su empleo en firmes. En el presente artículo se analizan dichas ventajas, junto con algunos inconvenientes que se han venido atribuyendo a esta solución (plazo de apertura al tráfico, sonoridad ), pero a los que es posible dar respuestas adecuadas con las técnicas de las que se dispone actualmente.</abstract>
