<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Las normas de planificación y de edificación también pueden funcionar para áreas propensas a incendios. Los residentes pueden aprender prácticas simples que pueden evitar que sus viviendas y propiedades sean arrasadas por un fuego que invada las zonas urbanizadas. El programa Firewise de NFPA da cobertura a estos principios prácticos y sus normas incluyen el modo de reducir los riesgos de incendio en estructuras y el modo de desarrollar infraestructura adecuada para el combate de incendios</abstract>
