<abstract displayLabel="Summary">En la actualidad, los servicios de factoring y financiación comercial (FFC) están presentes en más de 50 países, y el tamaño del mercado mundial ha pasado de 45.000 millones de euros en 1980 a 2,13 billones de euros en 2012, integrando a más de 2.400 empresas con una plantilla total cercana a los 46.000 empleados en todo el mundo. Este artículo pretende brindar una radiografía detallada del sector europeo de FFC (que representa un 60,9 por 100 del sector mundial) en 2010 y 2011, poniendo el foco en Reino Unido (13,7 por 100 del volumen mundial de factoring en 2012), Francia (8,7 por 100), Italia (8,5 por 100), Alemania (7,4 por 100), España (5,8 por 100) y Polonia (1,1 por 100). Los seis países analizados representan conjuntamente un 74,3 por 100 del sector europeo de FFC, y un 45,3 por 100 del sector mundial. Las diversas áreas cubiertas por el informe incluyen el abanico de productos, la demanda, la oferta y la rentabilidad de las empresas de FFC.</abstract>
