<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El 17 de mayo se celebró el día Mundial de Internet. La iniciativa surgió en Túnez, en 2005, durante la II Cumbre Mundial de la Sociedad de la Información, de la que el país fue anfitrión. Durante el evento se aprobó plantear a la Asamblea General de Naciones Unidas que señalará esa fecha como Día Mundial de las Telecomunicaciones y de la Sociedad de la Información. En los tres lustros que han transcurrido desde entonces, el uso internet ha registrado un crecimiento exponencial. Así, este año, durante la celebración, se han destacado dos reflexiones: una, la importancia de no facilitar los datos sin saber a quién se están dando; otra, las ventajas de reforzar la seguridad. Los mensajes han cambiado mucho, como también lo han hecho los perfiles de los internautas y las apuestas empresariales que están surgiendo para vender seguros online a unos clientes cada día más online.</abstract>
