Sumario: Consumer behaviour in respect of online insurance aggregators and comparison sites, in particular, plus insurance distribution generally, varies significantly from country to country around the world. In Spain, aggregators, in particular, and online purchasing in general, are important factors in the distribution of car and home insurance, especially among customers making an active buying decision rather than those that simply renew an existing policy. The survey also investigated the proportions of customers holding different policy types, to understand the impact that this has on propensity to use aggregators. In particular, it found that aggregators performed somewhat better among non-standard policyholders for both car and home insurance
