The country´s insurance industry is being affected its operating performance, capital position and business prospects-hence, the negative outlook. Given Chile´s high GDP per capita and purchasing power parity, the segment es dominated by life offerings, 67% compared with 44% for the rest of Latin America. Historically, Chile´s insurance penetration rate of 4.6% has compared favorably with Latin America´s average of companies were participating in the country´s insurance market.</abstract>
