<abstract displayLabel="Summary">As the global economy looks to rebound from the pandemic, many economies are struggling with a global energy crunch. The supply of power generation fuels, in particular natural gas which has spiked at an all time record equivalent to USD190 per barrel of oil, continue to lag behind demand. A number of factors have contributed to this, including delayed field investment during 2020 and depleted storages from last winter. This may now be affecting Europe as utilities look to stock up aheadof winter, however, it is only a matter of time before it becomes a global issue as we head into 2022.</abstract>
