<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El catálogo constituye una gran retrospectiva de más de 200 obras, muchas de las cuales habían permanecido inéditas. Los retratos de Judith Joy Ross (Haztelon, 1946) se caracterizan por la cercanía. Ross no recorre las calles en busca de un motivo que capturar, tampoco lleva a los sujetos a su estudio. Su modo de trabajar suele consistir como ella misma afirma en procurar "ocasiones" sobre temaspreviamente escogidos: Eurana Park, los visitantes del Monumento a los Veteranos de Vietnam, los miembros del Congreso durante el escándalo IránContra (Irangate), los niños de las escuelas públicas de Hazleton o lugares concretos como Easton, en Pensilvania, el estado donde nació, se crio y en el que aún hoy vive</abstract>
