<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Aunque lleva tiempo hablándose de ellos en clave teórica con prefijos como mini, los pequeños reactores modulares (Small Modular Reactor SMR) tienen un potencial muy real dentro del sector energético e industrial. De muy reducido tamaño y con un sencillo plan de integración, los SMR podrían llegar a reemplazar la potencia eléctrica de muchas plantas de carbón y de gas, reduciendo emisiones y dando alcance a emplazamientos difícilmente accesibles o aislados. </abstract>
