<dc:description xml:lang="es">Sumario: This month, in the first of a two-part insurtech examination, we talk to insurance companies about their views on insurtech start-ups and what they are looking for from potential new partners. We also ask what insurers need from their tech partners in terms of transparency and flexibility. The appetite for extreme tourism is growing among ultra-high-net-worth individuals and the more extreme, the better. While adventure travel insurance covers hiking or skiing, it doesn't extend to descending 12,500 feet into the ocean to see the wreck of the Titanic. If interest in extreme tourism continues to grow, how will travel insurers navigate this? ITIJ investigates. We also investigate cruise cover and assistance provision and ask how it is possible to ensure coverage is fair to the policyholder and the insurer, and limit exposure to abusive billing practices. With policies that typically need higher limits and have plenty of evacuation benefits, we examine whether they are the keeping pace with the cost of the cruise itself. We also consider the medical provisions on board ships, and we ask how cruise ships would go about disembarking a patient who was sick if they were in a remote area. Attracting and retaining talent in the insurance industry is difficult right now. What are companies doing, and is it working to ensure the right talent is in the right place? We examine the challenges businesses are facing</dc:description>
