Título: Climate change : What does the future hold for health and life insurance? / Adrita Bhattacharya-Craven... [et al.]
Publicación: Zurich : The Geneva Association, 2024Descripción física: 52 p.Notas: Sumario: The report offers recommendations for insurers: to urgently close data gaps on climate-related health risks; to innovate, in particular with parametric products; and to prioritise prevention, such as through impact underwriting, which incentivises behaviours that reduce risks. With these measures, insurers can make a significant contribution to protecting public health in the face of climate change. It classifies climate-related risks into four categories in relation to mortality and morbidity - acute, chronic, transitional and litigious - and provides an overview of the latest scientific evidence. lt goes on to provide a comprehensive snapshot of how these risks manifest. Acute risks stem from the impacts of extreme heat, wildfires, floods and severe storms on mortality and morbidityMateria / lugar / evento: Mercado de seguros Riesgo sanitario Medidas de seguridad Riesgos emergentes Cambio climático Prestación de servicios Seguro de asistencia sanitaria Seguros paramétricos Mortalidad Salud pública Otros autores: Bhattacharya-Crave, Adrita
