This article analyzes global evidence on healthy aging, assessing whether more recent cohorts of older adults exhibit better health conditions than earlier ones. Using harmonized microdata from 41 countries between 2000 and 2022, the study finds systematic improvements in physical, cognitive, and mental health indicators, with the most pronounced gains observed in cognitive function. However, significant disparities persist across countries and socioeconomic groups, particularly in emerging markets and among individuals with lower levels of education or income. The study suggests that healthy aging can help mitigate the economic impact of population aging, while emphasizing the need for policies aimed at reducing health inequalities
