<dc:description xml:lang="es">The reinsurance market entered 2008 well capitalised and well ordered. A potential cloud on the horizon is the sub-prime crisis but with the full impact of claims yet to emerge, the Casualty market overall looks perilously close to re-entering the danger zone on pricing after another year of softening in 2007. In the Property market, it is difficult to see the overall downward trend in pricing being reversed or even stabilised without a major catastrophe loss. Underwriters still arguethat technical pricing is adequate - the question is, will the market reach a technical price floor in 2008, and more importantly, what will happen then?</dc:description>
