<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Los materiales plásticos son casi contemporáneos de la utilización generalizada de la electricidad, y el empleo de aquéllos en la difusión de ésta ha producido enormes ventajas. Tales materiales tienen, sin embargo, sus limitaciones, entre las que se encuentran las relacionadas con el calor y la temperatura; de manera que la resultante de esa combinación -materiales plásticos y electricidad- presenta, y así se ha declarado a veces, un importante riesgo de incendio. El presente trabajo trata de los ensayos nacionales e internacionales destinados a valorar tales riesgos</abstract>
