<abstract displayLabel="Summary">La complexité des réactions de décomposition thermique ne permet pas de déterminer a priori, à partir des produits mis en oeuvre, la nature des gaz, vapeurs et fumées dégagés. Aussi des essais qualitatifs en laboratoire sont souvent nécessaires préalablement aux prélèvaments et quantifications dans les ateliers. Les auteurs présentent les méthodes d'analyse et les moyens techniques utilisés par l'INRS pour l'examen des échantillons, ainsi que leurs limites. Il s'agit principalement de la spectroscopie infrarouge, de la chromatographie en phase gazeuse, du couplage chromatographie-spectrométria de masse et des prélèvements par barbotage ou sur support solide</abstract>
