<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Se comparon cuarenta y seis operarios de lectores láser con ciento seis cajeros que utilizaban cajas registradoras convencionales. Se evaluó la influencia de la rotación del trabajo en los dos grupos y se examinaron varias características de diseño. Los resultados indican que se consigue un efecto beneficioso en el sistema musculoesquelético combinando la utilización de un lector láser con la rotación en el trabajo. El estudio muestra también la necesidad de mejor equipo, incluyendo lectores planos y teclados más pequeños, y un cmbio en el ángulo entre el lector y la cinta transportadora que va hacia el cajero</abstract>
