<abstract displayLabel="Summary">A batch of alpha-quartz designated Sikron F600, and labelled A9950 by this laboratory, has been used as the calibration standard for the analysis of alpha-quartz both in bulk samples and in airborne dust collected on-filter since 1980. The results obtained on comparing this standard with SRM 1878, a respirable alpha-quartz standard for X-ray diffraction measurement certified 95.5-1.1% crystalline alpha-quartz, available from the National Institute of Standards and Technology U.S.A., are presented in this report</abstract>
