The material previously had been found not to produce delayed neurotoxicity based on studies performed in hens. However, based on findings reported in a 14-day rat study, and because of the potential for occupational exposures, TBP was tested in both acute and subchronic oral neurotoxicity studies in adult rats under the auspices of a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) final test rule on the material</subfield>
