<abstract displayLabel="Summary">Une observation d'hépato-néphrite survenue après une exposition accidentelle au tétrachlorure de carbone en milieu industriel est rapportée. La sévérité de l'insuffisance rénale a imposé deux séances d'hémodialyse. le diagnostic n'a été porté qu'au 8e jour d'évolution alors que la toxicité majeure de ce solvant chloré est pourtant bien connue des utilisateurs; en fait, l'importance de l'exposition a été nettement sous-estimée. Après un bref rappel portant sur les manifestations cliniques, les mécanismes pathogéniques impliqués et la thérapeutique à mettre en oeuvre devant toute exposition aiguë, la succession d'événements responsable du retard diagnostique est analysée</abstract>
