Sumario: This paper descirbes the results of a study of scanning postures among grocery store cashiers using two different checkstand designs. The objective on this study was to determine if hypothesized improvements in checkstand design effectively reduce cashiers'exposure to biomechanical stresses during grocery scanning tasks
