<abstract>El R.D. 607/1999, de 16 de abril, aprueba el Reglamento del seguro de responsabilidad civil de suscripción obligatoria para embarcaciones de recreo o deportivas. Se cubre así el vacío legal existente en esta materia hasta entonces en una actividad de crecimiento continuo en los últimos año, capaz de generar importantes riesgos que justifican la obligatoriedad del aseguramiento de la responsabilidad civil en que se pueda incurrir con motivo de la navegación de embarcaciones de recreo o deportivas</abstract>
