<abstract>Cuando se produce un incendio de origen electrónico, es frecuente leer informaciones que , atribuidas a los miembros de los servicios de extinción del siniestro, indican , casi siempre con dudas, que la causa fue un cortocircuito. El presente artículo pretende hacer justicia con este incidente eléctrico por considerar que, como es definido por la Real Academia de la Lengua Española y el Diccionario de la Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales, no puede ser causa de incendio de combustibles sólidos comunes</abstract>
