<abstract>En la sociedad en la que vivimos se percibe una cada vez mayor y más importante incorporación de la mujer al mercado laboral. Es por ello, que se pretende regular las contingencias específicas que tienen que ver directamente con su condición femenina y todo lo que ésta atrae aparejada. El presente artículo tratará de abordar aquellos aspectos relacionados con la protección que el marco jurídico otorga a la mujer embarazada, contra el riesgo al que se ve sometida por su doble condición de trabajadora y gestante</abstract>
