<abstract displayLabel="Summary">El nuevo urbanismo (New Urbanism) es un concepto surgido en Estados Unidos en 1979 de la mano del promotor inmobiliario Robert S. Davis. Desde 1998, el Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU), una organización norteamericana de carácter internacional encargada del estudio y la promoción de ciudades más sostenibles, más eficientes en el ahorro de energía y con una mayor calidad de vida, ha impulsado este concepto. Hace unos años, esta organización plasmó los principios del nuevo urbanismo en diez puntos clave para diseñar las ciudades del futuro. </abstract>
